Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan measured the upright rectangular stone in Carrigeencullia, capturing its east-west alignment and view toward The Paps of Dana. It stands nearly two metres high in level pasture, simple enough to overlook yet persistent enough to mark the edge of human memory. Perhaps it guided a herder, witnessed a vow or waited for someone who no longer remembers their own name.

Dated to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, this standing stone may have functioned as a territorial marker or ceremonial monument, possibly aligned with significant landscape features such as The Paps of Dana. No specific folklore or inscriptions are recorded, but its orientation suggests a possible ritual or astronomical significance.
