What is recorded here

Standing stone in Bunacrower is a long, narrow limestone slab, 2.6 m high and 0.5 m wide, set in pasture near Ballinrobe with packing stones still visible at its base. It stands about 100 m from another recorded stone, pointing east-west like a marker somebody set when the field was new. Perhaps it marked a boundary, a path or a warning, but the people who placed it are gone and the cattle still walk past it as if it were ordinary.

In pasture with rock outcrop, c. 100m S of standing stone (MA118-040----). Long, narrow limestone slab (max. dims. H 2.6m; Wth 0.5m; T 0.2m), orientated E-W. Packing stones protrude at base.
