Standing stone in Boolahallagh

On a steep N-facing slope in upland terrain, in rough pasture. A stream runs roughly N-S c. 80m to the E. There are extensive views to the N and W, but limited to the E and S. A standing stone (0.62m x 0.3m; H 0.94m), roughly rectangular in plan, orientated NE-SW. Composed of red sandstone, the SE and NW faces are flat, though the latter has fractured due to weathering. It is flat-topped (0.44m x 0.24m). There is a large slab of bedrock (1.3m x 0.3m; H 0.35m) exposed at the foot of the NW face of the stone.
