Standing stone in Ballyboy (dunkellin By.)

On a rise in pastureland. This standing stone consists of a rough rectangular limestone slab (H 1.5m; Wth 0.31m; T 0.16m). Packing stones are visible around its base. Dated to the Bronze Age (c. 2500–500 BCE), this standing stone may have had ritual or territorial significance, possibly linked to the nearby rath. Such stones were sometimes used as markers, memorials, or in ceremonial contexts.
