What is recorded here

Cloghroak Castle stands in ruins in County Galway, a tower house reduced to stones and memory. It may have guarded a narrow stretch of land or simply given a family a tall place to watch the weather. Whatever it did, it stopped doing it. The shape is gone, the rooms open to sky, and the name remains the last thing holding the building together.
