Standing stone in Ardnahow

Situated on the gentle N-facing slope of a broad plateau. This is a conglomerate stone, tear-shaped in cross-section (dims. 2.35m x 0.7-0.8m; H 2.8m) with a rounded crest and oriented NE-SW. There is a small cupmark-like feature (diam. 0.04m) c. 1.1m above ground level at the N end of the SE face. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
