Marked on the 1837 and 1912 editions of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on a NE-facing slope a short distance above Sligo Bay. Spring well now housed within a modern cement-built structure. There are a number of legends concerning St. Molaise associated with the monument (ITA Survey 1942-4). Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 17 April 2013
St. Molaisses Well is associated with a local saint and is traditionally linked to healing rituals, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin. The well's legends, though partially lost, reflect a blend of early Christian devotion and pre-Christian water cult practices common in the region.
