What is recorded here

St. Mary-Le-Bow is a historic church in the City of London, famously associated with the Great Fire of London in 1666, as its bell was rung to call citizens to action. It is also linked to the legend of young Dick Whittington, who supposedly heard its bell and returned to London to become mayor.
