St Malrubh's Well is associated with St Malrubh, a 6th-century Irish monk and missionary linked to the Pictish kingdom of Fortriu in Scotland. The well is traditionally believed to have healing properties, particularly for eye ailments, and may have been a site of pilgrimage and early Christian worship.
