St Devenick's Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records St Devenick's Well as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

St Devenick's Well is associated with St Devenick, a 7th-century Irish monk and missionary linked to the spread of Christianity in northern Scotland. The well was traditionally visited for its healing properties, particularly for skin ailments and general well-being, and was likely a site of pilgrimage and seasonal rituals.
