What is recorded here

St. Annes Cemetery stands in County Galway, a graveyard where the dead have slept since before the state learned to count them. Its story is absent from the public viewer, pushed behind a Dublin archive and a Friday appointment, as if the dead wanted privacy from the living. What is hidden is not nothing. It is a life lived locally, recorded nowhere central, remembered only by the soil and the people who walked there barefoot.
