Sròn Scourst rises to approximately 500 metres and is part of the rugged landscape of the Outer Hebrides. Its name, derived from Scottish Gaelic, may relate to a "point of the scourge," hinting at local folklore or historical associations. As a prominent feature in a remote and sparsely populated region, it contributes to the geographical and cultural identity of Na h-Eileanan Siar.
