What is recorded here

Lisheennora Castle once occupied a circular enclosure twenty-nine metres wide on a slight Galway rise, but a house built inside destroyed much of the ancient wall. The house has fallen into ruin, returning the land to grass and silence. What remained of the fort disappeared under the foundation or vanished entirely, leaving only a faint scarp to mark where human life clustered and then broke.

On a slight rise in flat grassland. Very poorly preserved circular enclosure (diam. 29.2m) defined by a scarp. From N to E the enclosing element and part of the interior have been destroyed as a result of the construction of a house which is now ruined.
