Slipstone Crags is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature composed of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340 to 320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its exposure of durable limestone strata that contribute to the characteristic geology of the North Yorkshire coast.
