What is recorded here

The present 19th century Sixmile Bridge crossing the Camoge River was possibly built on the site of the medieval bridge depicted on the Down Survey Barony map of Smallcounty (Hib. Reg.). The current road bridge was described by the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH) as a ‘Double-arch road bridge, built c. 1800, carrying a road over the River Camoge. Rubble limestone walls with render copings to parapets. Round-headed arches with cut limestone voussoirs. U-cutwaters’ (www.buildingsofireland.ie; NIAH Reg. No. 21902305).
