Shanbally Castle stands in County Galway, though no clear record explains when it was built or who lived there. The gap itself belongs to the place: a castle removed from memory, leaving behind a shape of stone and silence. Perhaps it was a household, a fortress or a marker for a boundary now forgotten. In that absence, imagination enters freely, filling the missing rooms with possible lives and forgotten purposes.
