What is recorded here

Marked faintly as a circular feature (diam. c. 35m) and described as 'site of Rath' on the1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated just off the N edge of a plateau. The location is bisected by a NNW-SSE field bank but nothing is visible at ground level in pasture and a cereal crop. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
