What is recorded here

No stone or marker remains of the church built near Tramore Strand around 1724, nor its graveyard. Buildings now cover the SW end of the strand where worshippers and the dead once belonged to that coast. What is left is a absent shape: a room for prayer and a field for burial, erased by occupation and time.

No trace of this graveyard (DG064-007001-) marked on the OS 6-inch maps survives. It was associated with a nearby church which was built c. 1724 and no evidence of which survives either. The area, at the SW end of Tramore Strand close to the shore, is now built on. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
