What is recorded here
Lisheennora Castle vanished completely, leaving no stone, trench or earthwork behind. It exists only inside a Galway enclosure and on old survey maps, denied by the grass itself. Forgetting is not loss of knowledge but transformation of the story: the castle stopped being a building and became a test of imagination.
Within the SE quadrant of an enclosure (GA099-109002-). Indicated on the OS 6-inch maps as the site of 'Lisheennora Castle'. No visible surface trace survives.
