Site of Kilkieran Church — Report the wrong picture

Kilkieran Church stood on the southwest side of a hillock above rolling grassland, dedicated to St. Kieran of Ossory. The building has vanished entirely, leaving only a graveyard and the memory of a roadside presence. What remains is a quiet absence, a place where worship once clustered before disappearing without a trace.

On the SW side of a hillock standing above rolling grassland. According to Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 280-81), the old parish church of Kilkieran, 'dedicated, presumably, to St. Kieran of Ossory, stood on the roadside, to the left, as one goes from Carrigeen to Sandfordcourt. It was destroyed long ago and not a trace of it now remains'. There is a graveyard (KK015-007002-) associated with the church. There is no visible trace of the church at ground level.
