Situated on a natural gravel hummock with a triangular flat top (28m N-S; 27m E-W) on the edge of the Glencree river. Known locally as 'The Graveyard Bank' and named 'Site of Grave Yard' on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
