What is recorded here

Marked as a ruined building (dims. c. 12m NW-SE; c. 7m NE-SW) and described as 'site of Church' on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It had been pointed out as a church to John O’Donovan by local people c. 1840, but it was not visible then (O'Flanagan 1933, vol. 2, 359). Situated on a N-facing slope with the valley of a NW-SE stream and mill race just to the E. There is a slightly dished D-shaped and grass-covered area (diam. c. 30m), but there are no visible remains of a structure, enclosure or burial at ground level.
