Siskin

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Siskin as Motor Fishing Vessel (period Unassigned)-(2005). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Siskin* was a motor fishing vessel active in Scottish waters, lost at sea in 1937 after striking a submerged rock near the Orkney Islands. It sank in heavy fog, resulting in the deaths of all seven crew members; its cargo of herring was also lost. The wreck remains a notable example of early 20th-century fishing industry hazards in northern Scotland.
