Silver Cove

Bay

What is recorded here

Silver Cove consists mainly of Cretaceous-age limestone, formed from marine sediments deposited in a shallow tropical sea around 145 to 66 million years ago. The cove is notable for its well-exposed coastal cliffs, which provide a visible cross-section of sedimentary layers and fossilized remains of ancient marine life.
