What is recorded here
Templecronan church stands above a forgotten row of houses, their rectangular shadows still visible in the grass sixty-five metres north. The settlement vanished while the church remained, suggesting the crowd departed but the prayer stayed behind.
Situated in the field immediately N of Templecronan church (CL010-021002-). The grassed-over remains of a number of rectangular houses in a row aligned NNE-SSW (overall L c. 65m) are visible on the OS ortho aerial photographs and on Google Earth (photographed on 14 September 2009; accessed 19 October 2016). An enclosure (CL010-021009-) and the possible remains of other enclosures lie in the SW portion of the field.
