You are standing in Annaghmore or Annaghbeg, where a whole medieval village vanished without a wall or roof to mark its absence. A pewter vessel lay a foot deep in the swamp beside a castle, perhaps dropped in haste or buried by water so often it stopped being an event. The people who lived here may have come and went like the tide, leaving behind only a small shiny thing the earth could not swallow.

No surface remains visible of any deserted medieval village in the townland of Annaghmore and Annaghbeg.
