What is recorded here
Seibreig is a coastal headland composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in Scotland, dating back approximately 2.7 to 3 billion years. These highly metamorphosed rocks formed deep within the Earth's crust through intense heat and pressure, and were later exposed by erosion, making the headland notable for its ancient geological history.
