Seán Ó Fearghaíl

Seán Ó Fearghaíl was born in Newbridge, County Kildare, on 17 April 1960, the soil that later shaped his public life. He came from a farming background and worked for Dublin Corporation before entering politics, carrying practical knowledge of land and labour into every room. His repeated election defeats from 1987 to 1997 did not break him; they tightened his resolve until the 2002 general election finally opened the door.
