Seamus Costello

Old Connaught Avenue in Bray stands as the birthplace of Seamus Costello, the only Irish political party leader ever assassinated. The house belongs to the violent history of the Border Campaign and the later founding of the Irish Republican Socialist Party. Costello left that small coastal town to become a divisive general, carrying the local blood into national politics until his murder in Dublin.
