Saltaire World Heritage Site, founded in 1851 by philanthropist Sir Titus Salt, is a well-preserved 19th-century model industrial village that reflects social reform and industrial innovation. It is important for its unique integration of worker housing, factories, and public spaces, and was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.
