What is recorded here

Detached four-bay single-storey national school, c.1940. Roughcast rendered walls with smooth rendered base course. Name plaque to north-west elevation. uPVC casement windows. Hipped slate roof with roughcast rendered chimney stacks. Entrance incorporated into extension to north-west elevation. Ancillary buildings to north-east.
The school is of striking character due to its bold fenestration and whitewashed walls. The scale of the building and size of its grounds resolutely defines itself from those more moderate buildings surrounding it. The school holds a critical position in both the social and physical character of the village.
