Cemetery, established 1857, with various cut-stone grave markers, c.1860 – present. (ii) Gateway, built 1857, to west comprising pointed arch opening with chamfered surround, cut-stone voussoirs, wrought iron gate having gable over with cut-stone coping, and sections of random rubble stone flanking boundary wall to perimeter of site having squared rubble stone coping.
An extensive cemetery forming a picturesque landmark in the south outskirts of Lismore. A number of the grave markers are of some artistic design merit, and attest to high quality craftsmanship, while the gateway and boundary wall to the perimeter of the site form an attractive feature in the streetscape.
