Listed as Rushy Island and described by O'Sullivan (2004, 102-3) as following; 'Located at N end of Lough Ennell, 220m NW of School Boy island (WM026-102----), currently in marshy land (was originally 100-150m from shoreline). The site is beside a drain that marks original channel of River Brosna. Crannóg consists of a low, oval mound (approx. dims. 35m N-S x 26m E-W; H 0.02m) located in drained marshy land. It is built of large stones and pebbles, which rise towards the centre of the mound. It was cut through on the western side by a modern drainage ditch in the 1960s, which revealed no structural timbers, but there was a large quantity of animal bone in a midden'.
