Rubh' an Eich Bhàin is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature composed of metamorphic rocks, likely part of the Lewisian Gneiss complex, which dates back to the Precambrian era, over 2.5 billion years old. These ancient rocks formed through high-pressure and high-temperature metamorphism of older igneous and sedimentary rocks, and are notable for being some of the oldest rocks in Scotland.
