What is recorded here

Four granite courses remain at St. Mullin's in County Carlow, a broken wrist of the tower that once rose above the plain. The interior measures 2.8 metres across, narrow enough for a man to touch both walls with outstretched arms. That small space would have echoed every footstep, every whispered prayer, every sudden knock when danger approached. The tower is gone except for this base, yet the shape of its absence still stands out in the field like a shadow cast by a missing tower.
