Roofert Rock is a coastal rock feature located in Fife, Scotland, composed primarily of Old Red Sandstone, dating from the Devonian period, around 400 to 360 million years ago. It formed through sedimentary deposition and subsequent uplift during the Variscan orogeny, and is notable as a named landmark reflecting historical mapping and local geographic identity.
