Rock scribing is a rock scribing, folk art in Derreenanarry, County Roscommon, Ireland. Towards the bottom of a S-facing slope stands a rectangular piece of red sandstone, 0.74m long, 0.8m wide and 0.2m high. Its upper surface carries two small crosses, each 7cm across, and five rills that comfortably take the fingers of the right hand. The stone belongs to the rock scribing tradition, a loosely understood practice of marking stone outside formal patronage.
