Rock art in Letter West stands on boggy upland pasture north of a stream, its smooth face tilted upward like a shoulder offering cups and rings to the sky. Someone chipped marks into that stone long before written records, perhaps guiding herds, marking territory or simply playing with shadow and depth. The boulder still holds those shapes, waiting for hands to trace them and imagine the life that made them.

Rock art identified and described by Aoibheann Lambe as; 'North of a stream on boggy upland pasture, a smooth faced upright boulder inscribed on the face that slopes upwards towards N with 5+ cups and 2 cup-and-rings and grooves while its near vertical south facing side is inscribed with a cup-and-ring and a circle. It is c. 8m south-east of rock art (KE071-123---)'. Duplicate site with KE071-185----. Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this rock art may have held ritual or symbolic significance, possibly linked to water sources or territorial markers. Cup-and-ring motifs are commonly associated with prehistoric ceremonial landscapes in Britain and Ireland.
