Kealduff Upper holds an earthfast rock marked with three conjoined cup-and-ring motifs, their rings touching like linked fingers. Aoibheann Lambe identified the piece and Caimin O’Brien compiled its description, preserving a small chamber of human attention beside the cliff. The rocks do not need belief to be strange; they need only to be seen.

Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this rock art may have held ritual or symbolic significance, possibly linked to territorial markers, spiritual beliefs, or communal identity. Cup-and-ring motifs are commonly associated with prehistoric ceremonial landscapes in Atlantic Europe.
