Carrowreagh and Craignacally hold a loose boulder set into a low earthen wall, tilted twenty-one degrees southward on a Donegal ridge. Two large single cups and one ringed cup mark its surface, simple enough to read at a glance yet old enough to resist explanation. The stones may have guided herds, marked a boundary, or invited people to pause and watch the sky. They still wait for that human answer, unchanged beneath rain and wind.
Described by Van Hoek as 'About 50m E of DON 3 (DG003-012----), and on the same ridge, is a loose boulder on a low earthen wall, with a steeply sloping rock outcrop to the S. On the surface of the boulder, now sloping 21 degrees S, are two large single cups and a cup with one complete ring' (Van Hoek 1988, 45).
