What is recorded here
Carrowreagh holds one clear cup on a large outcrop east of a standing stone and north of a little stream. That much is certain. Whether the cup marked water, hunger, love or warning is no longer certain. A person stood there, cut through the noise of life and made one honest shape. The rock kept it. Everything else joined the world and forgot itself.
Described by Van Hoek as 'On a large outcrop sited E of standing stone XX and N of a little stream, is one clear cup' (Van Hoek 1988, 46).
