An Dumhach Bheag holds rock art in County Mayo, but human memory has forgotten the hands that made it. The stones may have marked a boundary, recorded a storm or simply pleased someone who watched the sky change. They survived every empire, famine and forgetfulness because they were made of the earth itself. What is missing is not the art but the witness, the person who stood beside it and saw it as ordinary.
