Rocester Church in East Staffordshire was originally founded in the 7th century by the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia, with the current stone church dating mainly from the 12th to 14th centuries. Dedicated to St. Mary, it is significant as one of the oldest known churches in Staffordshire and contains historical features linked to the early Christianization of the region.
