Road

On a gentle W-facing slope overlooked by a medieval church (CL002-014002-), c. 250m to NW. Indicated as part of a rectangular enclosure by a dashed line and named ‘Killoghil graveyard’ on the 1842 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and hachured as two parallel elements extending N from a rectangular enclosure named ‘Killoghil Grave Yard (Disused)’ on the 1915 ed. Not previously listed in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A road/trackway visible as a slightly curvilinear berm (L c. 55m; Wth 13.4m) defined to the W by a bank (Wth 2m; H 0.4m) on the upper break of slope of a W-facing slope and to the east by a W-facing slope, extending N from the site of the rectangular enclosure surrounding the site of Killoghil graveyard (CL002-059----). It runs to the townland boundary, with Bishopsquarter townland, beyond which it is not traceable but presumably once continued. Ringforts are located c. 110m to the NW (CL002-015----), c. 300m to the ENE (CL002-061----) and c. 300m to the S (CL002-060----), and a medieval church (CL002-014002-) and associated remains are located c. 250m NW.
