Road

An ancient road mentioned in Crichad an Chaoilli (Translation; Power 1932, 54) where it is included in description of territory of the Tuath O Fiannadhuigh 'from Baile Hi Ghormain westward to the road in Druim Raite. Exact location of Drom Raite uncertain but Power (ibid.,116) suggests it is Dromdowney and adds that 'the allusion to a ród here is highly interesting; evidently this is a different class of highway to that styled bóthar in Leathbhaile Hi Conchubhair'.
