What is recorded here

The partial remains of a destroyed site (L 65.06m; Wth 1.14m; D 0.04m) orientated NW-SE which survives as an irregular, dispersed spread of brushwood and a roundwood. At the most NW sighting, it consists of four pieces of heavy brushwood, orientated E-W, and eight fragments of light brushwood, orientated N-S. No woodworking is evident. The remaining sightings consist of 1-2 pieces of brushwood, orientated N-S or E-W. The most SE sighting may represent a separate site. Alder, hazel, birch and ash were the wood species identified. The site is in well-humified Sphagnum peat. SMR OF015-298---- and SMR OF015-281---- are located on the same field surface to the NW and are comparable in form.
