What is recorded here

The site (L 43.45m; Wth 2.02m min.; D 0.15m) is orientated NW-SE and consists of a series of dispersed, transverse roundwoods and brushwood. It was examined at the central sighting where heavy roundwoods and brushwood are evident. Here, the site survives as a single, transverse oak roundwood, orientated N-S, with some irregular brushwood. The roundwood is partially milled and desiccated. Woodworking as apparent on one piece. The wood has been identified as oak, ash and birch and is in moderately to well-humified Eriophorum and Sphagnum peat. This site is located in an area with much material on the field surface, including SMR OF015-298---- 7.7m to the SE which has a similar orientation and which could be related to SMR OF015-281----.
