What is recorded here

The site (Wth 4.28m; D 0.46m) consists of a band of light brushwood in opposing drain faces. The pieces are deposited irregularly and are up to twelve pieces deep. The density of the wood varies through the site, with a number of small concentrations linked by a more sparse distribution of pieces. One piece has a metal-cut chisel point. Wood species include alder, oak, willow and Pomoideae. The site sits in well-humified peat Sphagnum containing Eriophorum and ericaceous remains.
