What is recorded here

The site (Wth 3.55m; D 0.16m) consists of a number of well-dispersed, radially split oak planks and roundwoods and a single peg orientated NE-SW. The width of the site may indicate that some of the elements were displaced in antiquity or that more than one site is present at this point. Wood species include oak, ash and hazel. A dendrochronological date of AD 601±9 years or later (Q10041) has been returned for one of the planks. This date is consistent with a dendrochronological date from SMR OF007-280---- and it is likely that the two are related. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin).
