What is recorded here

The site (L 7.5m min.; Wth 0.8m min.; D 0.08m) is orientated N-S and consists of densely laid mixed brushwood and twigs with a roundwood fragment and a small split timber. The majority of the elements are longitudinally laid with t wo pieces of brushwood and the roundwood fragment set transversely. The wood is in moderate condition. This site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with a large amount of Eriophorum and some ericaceous remains. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin).
